The role in a nutshell The role will involve working within the Accounts Payable team to support both the Accounts Payable Manager and finance team, along with the wider business to help them follow the processes and procedures to ensure all business costs are accurately accounted for. Getting into the detail As Accounts Payable Assistant, your main responsibilities will include: Managing Accounts Payable Capex related costs, including; phone/email queries, processing invoices, direct debits, chasing missing invoices/credits, supplier payments Reconciling statements, processing adjustments and supporting the Accounts Payable Manager to maintain tidy and accurate ledger balances Ensure integrity and maintenance of supplier payment information, with focus on mitigating risk of fraudulent activity Stake holder management and liaising with internal colleagues to ensure all required actions are being completed Identify, investigate and implement process improvements to ensure that ongoing efficiency improvements are delivered by the accounts payable team Training and writing process/guidance to support site-based staff with correct procedures General finance and administration duties - opening post, scanning, filing as required Skills & Experience required Good numeracy & literacy Skills Previous experience 2 years Very good attention to detail Good communication skills Stake holder management with the ability to influence others and achieve desired outcomes An aptitude for general IT, and specifically Excel Proficient with software/systems such as Access Dimensions and ProNett is desirable A general knowledge of double entry book-keeping An efficient, methodical and accurate approach to work What's in it for you?
