Role Overview:
Due to recent expansion of our organisation, we are seeking a dedicated Clinical Development Manager to join our team in driving excellence in clinical governance and care quality within our care homes. This pivotal role focuses on monitoring trends, enhancing care delivery, reducing clinical incidents, and supporting nursing staff through training, compliance oversight, and professional development. Working closely with the Associate Director of Nursing and Governance, Quality Team, and Home Managers, the successful candidate will ensure adherence to the highest standards of care and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Nurse Development & Compliance
* Oversee all nurses NMC registration, ensuring compliance with CPD requirements and successful revalidation.
* Deliver clinical training via face-to-face and online methods.
* Conduct onsite competency assessments and ensure adherence to clinical standards.
* Provide clinical supervision and support Home Managers in identifying staff clinical training and development needs.
Clinical Governance & Quality Improvement
* Review the monthly clinical governance across all homes to create actions and support at home-level to maintain high-quality care.
* Support homes with completing root cause analyses, risk assessments, audits, observations, and clinical evaluations to address trends and improve outcomes.
* Support homes in reducing incidents and enhancing clinical interventions.
* Collaborate with external healthcare professionals to elevate care standards.
* Work towards monthly KPIs set by the Associate Director of Nursing and Governance.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance Framework
* Implement and uphold the company's clinical governance framework and policies.
* Ensure staff adherence to policies and correct clinical procedures.
* Assist the Quality Team in audits and provide clinical insights when required.
* Ensure all homes comply with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards.
* Support safeguarding procedures and handle CQC notifications as necessary.
Collaboration & Support
* Identify gaps and concerns in clinical care, working with the Associate Director of Nursing and Governance to develop effective solutions.
* Support the Quality Team in managing at-risk residents.
* Provide clinical oversight and feedback to enhance the resident experience.
Essential Requirements:
* Registered Nurse (RN) with active NMC registration (essential).
* Training qualification (desirable).
* Knowledge of CQC (desirable).
