Strategic Key Account Manager (partnerships) – Waste & Resource Management
The Opportunity
Rare opportunity to join a leading UK waste and resource management business in a strategic Partnerships Manager role. This is a commercially focused position working with established broker and partner relationships, driving margin growth, strengthening long-term strategic partnerships and delivering end-to-end commercial account performance across a national portfolio. You will play a key role in managing and developing a network of waste service partners, ensuring optimal pricing, strong service delivery and sustainable growth across both national corporate accounts and regional business customers.
The Role of Strategic Key Account Manager Manager (partnerships)
This is a high-impact commercial role focused on managing and growing existing partner relationships within the waste and resource management sector.
* Managing and developing a portfolio of established broker and partner accounts across the UK waste and recycling market
* Driving commercial performance, with a strong focus on margin growth, pricing optimisation and account profitability
* Managing end-to-end contracted waste and resource management services through partner networks
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders including Heads of Supply Chain, Procurement Directors, Operations Leaders and business owners
* Negotiating commercial agreements and ensuring ongoing value creation across all partner relationships
* Identifying opportunities to grow service lines, improve retention and enhance long-term contractual value
* Managing a mix of national corporate customers and regional SME / privately owned businesses
* Working closely with internal operations and service teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction
* Taking full ownership of commercial performance across your allocated partner portfolio

The Candidate for Strategic Key Account Manager (partnerships)
* We are keen to speak with commercially driven professionals with experience in contracted services, account management or partnership-based roles.
* Ideally you will have experience within or alongside industries such as waste management, recycling, environmental services, facilities management, logistics, utilities, industrial services or other recurring revenue service sectors.

You will have a proven track record of:
* Driving margin growth within existing accounts

* Influencing procurement-led decision making processes
* Experience working with national multi-site organisations, supply chain-led businesses or regional SME portfolios would be highly advantageous.
