Role: FLT / Forklift Truck Driver
Start date: Expected for Monday, 3rd November*
Location: Leyland, Lancashire
Shift available (holiday cover)
£468.75 per week (1 x 6am - 2pm, Monday to Friday)
The above weekly wage is subject to tax / national insurance / pension, on a 37.5 hour week. The role is a set shift pattern and is not a rotating shift pattern expectation.
Role summary
We are currently recruiting an experienced FLT Driver with a valid Counterbalance licence to join a reputable client in Leyland.
Desirably (not essential) Reach, or Bendi / Flexi / Pivot experience (certification or refresher within the past 3 years).
The successful candidates will be responsible for operating forklifts safely and efficiently within a warehouse and production environment, ensuring smooth materials handling to support ongoing operations.
Key responsibilities
* Safely operate relevant Forklift Truck in a busy warehouse setting.
* Load and unload goods and materials from delivery vehicles.
* Move stock to designated storage areas and organise inventory within the warehouse.
* Ensure that stock is handled carefully to prevent damage and maintain product quality.
* Maintain accurate records of stock movement, including materials received and dispatched.
* Perform regular safety checks and report any faults or issues with equipment.
* Always adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
* Assist with general warehouse duties, such as picking and packing when required.
* Work efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines.
* Carry out general warehouse duties, alongside FLT driving.

Certifications
Forklift experience, inhouse or external (RTITB, ITSSAR, BRITTop or relatable TOPS UK Operator number certified) - dated within the past 3 years (proof of certification / operator card / refresher required).
Key requirements
* Previous experience working as a FLT driver within a warehouse environment is preferred.
* Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
* Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
* Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks, such as lifting and moving stock.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving and a positive attitude to work.
