We are working on behalf of a leading, high-profile professional services organisation with a strong reputation for excellence and discretion. They are seeking a confident, experienced Receptionist to join their Exeter-based team. This is a full-time, permanent position, working on-site with core hours of 09:30 to 17:30. Some flexibility may be required to support early shifts, as the reception operates from 08:00 to 17:30.
The Role
As the face of the organisation, you will ensure the highest standard of front-of-house service for clients, partners, and visitors. This is a pivotal role that combines traditional reception duties with strong administrative and scheduling responsibilities. Please note - This is an on-site role only, remote or hybrid working is not available.
Key Responsibilities of the Receptionist:
* Deliver a warm and highly professional reception service
* Manage incoming calls, take accurate messages, and direct queries appropriately
* Maintain and prepare meeting rooms (AV setup, catering, tidiness, etc.)
* Coordinate Outlook calendars for meeting bookings, recurring groups, and ad hoc scheduling needs
* Support internal events (logistics, coordination, front-of-house support)
* Carry out general office admin and assist with travel and room bookings
What we're looking for in the Receptionist:
* Minimum 12 months experience in a similar Receptionist or front-of-house role, ideally within a professional services environment
* Experience managing a reception desk independently and managing multiple priorities
* Confidence using Microsoft Outlook to manage group diaries, schedule meetings, and support teams
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive, calm, and polished approach
* Strong organisational ability, attention to detail, and a service-oriented mindset
* Experience supporting events or managing room bookings is a distinct advantage
