The role
* Oversee all aspects of the financial control, reporting and forecasting for the OFP Timber Frame and Chartway Drylining divisions
* Lead the divisional finance team
* To support the local management team in making key decisions that will shape the overall divisional strategy
What skills and experiences are essential to do this job?
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
* Experience of accounts management including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting
* Experience of leading and managing a small team, coaching and empowering others to improve performance and ensure everyone contributes and individual voices are heard
* Significant proficiency in financial accounting & reporting, including external statutory reporting and audit and the ability to understand, manage and interpret budgetary and other financial information.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and resources in order to deliver effective financial oversight and critical decision making
Main duties of the role:
* Provide support and challenge to the Estimating & Commercial teams around strategy & financial reporting implications for all new business tenders
* Work with Group Finance to drive best practice
* Support the local management team in implementing and maintaining medium term targets, including ownership of the Divisional 3 year forecast, budget and relevant KPIs
* Oversee the financial and management reporting process for the Divisions
* Oversee the review, strengthening and harmonisation of financial reporting and control processes across the Division.
* Responsibility for development and succession planning within the Divisional Finance team
* Take a leading role to enhance and develop policies, processes and systems.
* Act as a key Business Partner to senior stakeholders within the Divisions
* Present updates at the Monthly Business
