Job Title: Chef De Partie

We are seeking a dedicated Chef De Partie to help create a smooth and exceptional dining experience for our guests.


Responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes, guidelines, and instructions provided by the senior chef team.
2. Execute culinary techniques specific to the assigned section, ensuring high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
3. Assist in setting up and organizing the assigned section before service, ensuring all ingredients, equipment, and tools are available and functional. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environment.
4. Monitor and maintain the quality and consistency of dishes throughout preparation, tasting and adjusting seasoning as needed, and reporting issues to senior chefs.
5. Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring proper stock rotation, storage, and labeling. Notify senior chefs of shortages or discrepancies.
6. Collaborate effectively with the culinary team to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Support colleagues and follow instructions from senior chefs.
7. Contribute ideas for new dishes, improvements, or adaptations, and participate in menu planning and development.
8. Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of ingredients. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation in the assigned section.
9. Show enthusiasm for training and development, completing courses and encouraging team growth.
10. Take ownership of your section, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization. Set a positive example for junior team members.
11. Continuously improve culinary skills by staying updated on industry trends, techniques, and ingredients.
12. Confidently present food to guests and explain dishes professionally.
13. Seek guidance from senior chefs and actively participate in training programs and workshops.
14. Maintain a presentable appearance in a clean uniform, with long hair tied back and personal hygiene maintained.


Qualifications and Skills

* Culinary qualification or professional kitchen experience.
* Food hygiene qualification.
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various techniques and equipment.
* Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Understanding of food safety standards and ability to follow them.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Physical stamina and dexterity for long periods of standing, lifting, and repetitive tasks.
* Ability to act as a First Aid Aider or Fire Warden in emergencies.

Additional Information

* Salary: £32,500 with gratuities averaging around £370/month
* Hours: 50 hours per week
* Benefits include canteen, company events, pension, discounted or free food, employee discounts, travel assistance, gym membership, on-site parking, and staff transport.
