Here at Wates, we have an opportunity for an Electrician to join our Living Space team on our responsive maintenance contract in the Redditch area.
The primary focus of this role will be to carry out the Electrical Installation Condition Reports, as well as additional tasks to achieve first-time fix and deliver a high standard of workmanship in a timely and productive manner, always providing excellent customer service to the client.
Key Accountabilities will include:
1. Undertaking repair/renewal works within your Electrician remit and collaborating with associated trades.
2. Carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports.
3. Ensuring maintenance work is undertaken safely and in accordance with all technical standards.
4. Communicating effectively with residents, schedulers, and line managers.
5. Working safely and in compliance with Health & Safety and safeguarding requirements.
6. Remaining up-to-date with technical and legal requirements of your skill area.
7. Working in partnership with other operatives to complete repairs, if required.
8. Completing timesheets and work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job, via a PDA.
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Electrician (ideally 18th Edition qualified) who can utilize their skills to deliver small projects and repair works, and who has experience carrying out Electrical Installation Condition Reports.
You will hold a full UK diving license, be confident in managing your workload, and ideally have experience in the housing maintenance sector.
Additionally, you should be able to effectively communicate with people, ensuring work is always carried out safely.
