With expertise in engine overhauls, final drive overhauls, and locomotive refurbishment, they are a key player in the rail and engineering sectors. The Role: You will report to the Fuel Shop Team Supervisor and work hands-on with fuel system components, such as fuel pumps and injectors. A strong mechanical understanding of diesel engine systems is essential. Typical duties will include: Installing, repairing, and inspecting fuel systems Troubleshooting engine testing issues Auditing test equipment used for fuel pump and injector testing Documenting work activities and maintenance tasks Performing routine or preventative maintenance on test equipment Reporting results of fuel system tests Supporting 5S activities and maintaining a safe, clean work environment Following written or verbal instructions from line managers What we're looking for: Solid mechanical background Practical experience working with fuel systems (pumps, injectors, calibration, phasing, bench testing, etc.) Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Friendly, cooperative attitude with good communication skills Strong initiative and attention to detail Qualifications: Relevant engineering qualifications are ideal, but not essential for experienced individuals NVQ or apprenticeship-trained candidates preferred
