Role: Quality Engineer
Shifts: Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm Friday - 7.30am - 12.30pm
Location: Sandbach
Salary: Up to £45k DOE
Are you an experienced Quality Engineer from a metal fabrication and/or welding background? This role is ideal for an experienced Quality Engineer who enjoys working hands-on in a manufacturing environment. You'll be involved in day-to-day quality activities, dealing with customer and internal issues and helping to keep quality systems running smoothly.
The Role:
* Read and understand engineering drawings, including GD&T
* Carry out inspections using callipers, micrometres, gauges, and other measuring tools
* Use automotive quality tools such as PPAP, MSA, Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, and APQP
* Investigate quality problems and complete 8D reports
* Deal with customer complaints and internal quality issues
* Support ISO 9001 and general quality system activities
* Create basic reports and work with data using Microsoft Office
Suitable Candidate:
1. Experience in welding or fabrication (CSWIP 3.0/3.1 is a bonus)
2. Skilled with measuring and inspection tools
3. Experience with calibration systems
