Key Responsibilities of a Year 3 Teacher
Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons aligned with the Year 3 curriculum
Create an inclusive classroom where every child feels valued and supported
Maintain high expectations for learning, progress, and behaviour
Assess pupil progress regularly and communicate effectively with families
Work closely with colleagues and play an active role in the wider life of the school
Year 3 Teacher Requirements
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - PGCE or equivalent
Have experience teaching in KS2 (ideally Year 3), though ECTs are encouraged to apply
Bring energy, creativity, and strong classroom management skills
Be reflective, organised, and committed to continuous improvement
Enjoy working as part of a collaborative and caring staff team
