TPF Recruitment is supporting a reputable firm of chartered accountants seeking a Tax Partner Designate to join their team in Gravesend, Kent. The role can be tailored around the candidate's experience and aspirations, focusing on personal tax, corporate tax, or a combination of both.
Responsibilities
1. Developing personal or corporate tax-efficient strategies.
2. Providing support to clients with complex UK and international tax issues.
3. Handling tax planning, cross-border structuring, deal structuring, restructuring, R&D, EIS, and capital allowances.
4. Supporting the Head of Tax on projects for individuals such as dividend planning, CGT, trusts, non-domicile, VCT, and IHT.
5. Overseeing a team of junior tax staff.
6. Ensuring quality work within agreed costs and timescales.
7. Collaborating with Tax Partners to grow the firm and expand advisory services.
8. Engaging in business development with referrers and external parties.
9. Explaining complex tax issues to clients in a clear, non-technical manner and delivering presentations in workshops or training sessions.
Requirements
* Experience in tax with a passion for working with clients in the public and third sectors.
* Experience in a client-facing role and managing a busy portfolio.
* Interest in building client relationships to generate fee-paying work.
* Ability to operate at a senior level (Tax Manager or Associate Director) within a busy practice.
* CTA/ACA qualified (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in handling complex UK tax matters and producing high-quality work within budget.
* Practice background experience, either in an independent or Top 100 firm, is advantageous.
