A leading, forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit & Assurance Manager to join their expanding team. The Firm
This well-established practice serves a diverse client base, including entrepreneurial SMEs, not-for-profit organisations, and AIM-listed companies. The audit team handles a broad range of sectors such as technology, professional services, and charities. Turnovers range from £20m to £400m, offering a fantastic opportunity to work on sizeable and complex audit engagements.
The Role
Due to continued growth and new client wins, the firm is looking for an Audit & Assurance Manager to oversee a portfolio of clients from their Cambridge office. This is a hybrid role offering genuine autonomy, flexible working, and a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing a portfolio of audit clients, including planning, WIP control, and billing
* Delegating and reviewing audit and accounts work prepared by the team
* Providing mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback to junior and senior staff
* Building and strengthening client relationships
* Supporting business development, including attending networking events and preparing tender documents
* Getting involved in wider team responsibilities such as recruitment and marketing initiatives
About You
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about audit and looking to step into a leadership role with more client responsibility and strategic involvement.
Minimum requirements:
* ACA, ACCA, CA, or ICAS qualified
* Experience managing your own portfolio of audit clients
* Strong team leadership and mentoring ability
* Excellent communication and commercial awareness
* Comfortable using audit software (Caseware experience is beneficial)
