Electrician (Level 3)
Location: HMP Highpoint, Stradishall Newmarket, CB89YG
Salary: £39,579.20 plus £1,000 in Recruitment Retention Allowance and a 5% Shift allowance
Contract: Full Time/Permanent
We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Highpoint, a Category C Adult/Male prison.
Responsibilities
Apply your skills to create a secure environment, working with a multi‑disciplinary team of plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, cleaners and administrators.
Qualifications
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). For example: 2367 or 2357.
* Two years’ experience working as a fully qualified electrician
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations
* Good Health & Safety knowledge
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills
