Job Description
Are you a chemistry or materials-focused engineer with a passion for electroplating and continuous improvement? Amphenol Ltd is looking for a Material Process Engineer who will play a key role in developing, maintaining and improving metal finishing processes.
What you’ll be doing
Analysing and improving electroplating and material finishing processes
Developing PFMEA documentation for new and existing processes (NPI)
Providing hands-on shop-floor technical support and troubleshooting
Managing chemical analysis, control and replenishment
Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, COSHH, GMP and environmental standards
Supporting waste management, effluent systems and IPPC permit compliance
Training and mentoring team members and supporting skills development
Deputising for the Material Finish Engineer when required
What we’re looking for
Degree in Chemistry or a relevant Science discipline (ideally electroplating/material finishes)
Manufacturing experience with GMP / GLP knowledge
Strong PFMEA, process documentation and problem-solving skills
️ Solid Health & Safety and chemical handling experience
Confident communicator with a collaborative, continuous improvement mindset
