About the role:
We have a vacancy for a Night Shift Medical Laboratory Assistant in our Blood Sciences department at the Halo, 1 Mabledon Place, Central London.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the night duty rota, participating in shifts to support the needs of the 24/7 service and covering the disciplines of Biochemistry, Haematology, Immunology and Virology. Working as part of a friendly team, this is an excellent opportunity to further and develop your skills, knowledge and experience within this multidisciplinary laboratory.
Duties will include, but not restricted to processing and separating samples for laboratory testing and also assisting Biomedical Scientists in performing the routine diagnostics analytical work of the department. You will also be responsible for entering patient requests into the pathology computer: assign laboratory numbers and carry out clerical and technical tasks in accordance with sample handling procedures.
