Job Description:
We are seeking an ambitious, analytical and detail-oriented FP&A Analyst to join our team. This person will be key in delivering insightful Management Information (MI) to the business and possess the ability to effectively collaborate with teams across the business.
This is a newly created position, at a time of pivotal growth for Hayfin post-successful completion of a management buyout. You will be working closely with the Group Finance Director and the Head of FP&A.
JOB OVERVIEW
Monthly management information (MI)
* Compile and analyse monthly financial variance reports.
* Provide insights into key financial metrics, variances and trends to function heads to facilitate informed decision making.
* Work closely with outsourced financial accountants monthly to review the ledger, enhance data and ensure accurate reporting.
Business partnering
* Collaborate closely with function heads to understand business operations, drivers and challenges.
* Serve as business partner by providing financial support and recommendations to optimise business performance and drive growth.
* Track and analyse expenses across departments and cost centres
* Identify cost saving opportunities, efficiencies and areas for improvement to optimise resource allocation and overall financial health.
Process improvement
* Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
* Implement best practice for financial planning, analysis and reporting.
Budgeting and forecasting
* Assist in the production of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and 5-year business plan, working closely with departmental heads and senior management.
* Monitor performance versus budget, identify drivers of variances
Requirements
* 2+ years of post-qualified experience in financial analysis, preferably FP&A or related role with the financial services industry
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large sets of financial data and identify trends
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional, non-financial stakeholders
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling
* Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
* Qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
* Knowledge of NetSuite ERP and NetSuite Planning and Budgeting (NSPB) desirable but not essential
