Overview
We are looking for two personal assistants for a 9‑year‑old boy with autism, ADHD and a learning disability.
Responsibilities
* Support the child during school holidays and throughout the day.
* Provide constant physical activity and supervision, ensuring safety.
* Assist with activities that involve moving and driving, including acting as a driver where possible.
* Use Pica‑awareness and other communication methods (pecs, etc.) to support the child’s non‑verbal needs.
* Work with one another; 2:1 support structure.
* Maintain a patient, kind and understanding approach.
Qualifications
* Experience working with children with complex needs, autism and ADHD.
* Comfortable with a high level of physical activity and mobility.
* Observant and capable of recognising Pica behaviours.
* Good sense of humour, reliable, positive and flexible.
* Provide an enhanced check through PVG.
