This Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer role sits within a structured engineering team and offers exposure across full product lifecycle activities, from concept through to production support. As an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to new product development, ensure designs are robust and manufacturable, and provide technical support to production and customers. The position suits an individual with strong mechanical fundamentals and practical CAD experience in regulated engineering environments. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and development of low and medium voltage switchgear assembliesSupport new product introduction from feasibility through to productionApply robust design tools such as DFMEA and functional analysisProduce and maintain accurate engineering documentationSupport manufacturing, investigations, and customer site activities RequirementsHNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)Strong mechanical engineering knowledge2D/3D CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)Understanding of risk management and material properties Desirable ExperienceSwitchgear or rail electrification productsMechanical interlocks and drive systemsThermoplastic / thermoset mouldingAwareness of IEC / BS EN standards (e.g. IEC 62271-1)If you believe that this Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer position is perfect for you then we'd love to speak to you.
