Linden House Children's Home are recruiting for Senior Residential Support Workers. We are looking for enthusiastic, caring and passionate people to become an integral part of our support team. In this role, you will support our young people and be responsible for providing compassionate care during your time with them. This role also involves supporting the Registered Manager to run a successful staff team and to oversee the day-to-day operation of the home.

Linden House provides care and support to children and young people with a primary diagnosis of moderate to severe autism with moderate challenging behaviour and associated conditions such as ADHD and Tourette’s Syndrome. Here, daily living experiences and activities are meaningful and memorable and are designed to meet the needs of individual children in areas that are personal to them.
Job description
* Give compassionate care to young people.
* Support the Registered Manager in running a successful staff team.
* Oversee the day-to-day operation of the home.
* Deliver training and support to staff to ensure high standards of care.
* Maintain and update care plans and report information relevant to the care of the young people.
* Communicate effectively with young people, staff and external agencies.
Qualifications and experience
* Level 3 Qualification in Children’s Residential and Childcare – essential.
* Previous experience within a residential childcare setting.
* Resilience – ability to handle challenging behaviour and emotional difficulties.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Organisation – confident in supervising staff and updating care plans.
* Caring and compassionate nature.
* Attentive to the individual needs of each young person.
Additional requirements
All applicants must be willing to undergo safeguarding screening appropriate to the post, including checks with Disclosure & Barring Service and at least 2 references covering the last 3 years.
