.Job Title: Quality Engineer
Location: Samlesbury /Warton (Full-time onsite)
Salary: £41,361+ depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing assurance against the quality management system & regulatory standards by conducting audits of stamp holders working in the various production environments currently active at Warton unit
* Supporting the response to audit findings in a timely and appropriate manner and providing information to support the relevant reviews
* Supporting the implementation of quality improvement activities and the promoting the ‘zero defect’ philosophy
* Supporting Senior Quality Engineers in liaisons between internal & external stakeholders to resolve quality issues and ensuring appropriate corrective actions are implemented
* Ensuring all required non-conformance management processes are followed
* Involvement in population of quality performance metrics for reporting to the management team
* Driving schedule adherence, carrying out trend analysis & driving best practice across the business
* Contributing to Management System development / deployment / maintenance, including quality policy and processes as appropriate
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Quality or engineering experience in a manufacturing setting
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
* A background within aerospace products and/or processes
* Experience with toolsets such as Six Sigma or Lean
* Knowledge of AS9100 rev D
* Relevant apprenticeship or degree

As a Quality Engineer you will work closely with our operations and engineering teams to ensure that the products we manufacture meet BAE Systems, customer and regulatory requirements. You will provide guidance and support on all quality related matters to the wider manufacturing team.
