Registered Veterinary Nurse – Full Time
We are a well-established (15 years) small animal practice looking for a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse to bring ideas to the practice and to help expand our fabulous nursing team!
You would be joining a team of 3 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 2 VCAs as well as 5 veterinary surgeons and a full customer care team.
Nurse consults are utilised daily, and we encourage progression in this area. We do a lot of our own orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery so this position would develop a nurses surgical and anaesthetic experience. We’re a close-knit team and have regular meals, day trips, nights out and spa days together.
The position is full time, 8 hours a day with a half hour lunch break. Saturdays are 1 in 3 from 9am-4pm. The lack of any OOH or Sunday work means that we can maintain a very healthy work/life balance.
The ideal candidate will be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest to grow and develop their skills. We expect a good level of general nursing but can support those candidates that are at the start of their careers too. Your communication skills will be key to your success as we are looking for someone that will really fit in with the rest of the team. We have separate cat and dog wards, 4 consulting rooms, theatre, prep, diagnostic room and a fully stocked pharmacy. We are well equipped with ultrasound, a video endoscope, digital x-ray, full IDEXX in house laboratory, K-Laser, blood pressure machine and a Multiparameter monitor.
