Whinfield Medical Practice is looking for a part-time Phlebotomist/Practice Assistant (30.5 hours) to join our patient-focused and multi-skilled nursing team.
Working Hours: 30.5 hours per week over 4 days
The post holder is expected to contribute to Enhanced Access cover:
* Monday 8am - 4pm
* Tuesday 8am - 4pm
* Friday 8am - 4pm

Requirements: Previous experience as a Phlebotomist is essential. Knowledge of SystmOne is desirable.
The ability to work independently and prioritise workload is required. Good interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills are essential.
Main duties of the job
Clinical responsibilities include: Phlebotomy, performing ECGs, Blood Pressure checks, and urinalysis.

Whinfield Medical Practice is an 8 Doctor, 3 ANP, 2 GP trainee surgery with over 12,000 patients and 8 GPs.
We are open 5 days per week with two early mornings.

Job Summary: To assist medical personnel with venepuncture, screening, and investigatory procedures, including some administrative duties. Act as a communication focal point between patients, doctors, nurses, and other team members.

* Weight and height recording

* Processing and managing laboratory samples
* Restocking/maintenance of equipment and clinical areas
