The Opportunity:
Weโre working with a well-established engineering consultancy looking to bring in a Contract Flood Risk Engineer to support a growing pipeline of residential and commercial development projects.
This is a hands-on technical role, ideal for someone who can produce high-quality reports and manage drainage strategy work with minimal supervision.
The Role
Youโll be responsible for delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies to support planning applications across a range of schemes.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of Flood Risk Assessments (FRA)
Production of Drainage Strategies for planning submissions
Design and integration of SuDS solutions
Surface water management and discharge calculations
Liaison with:
โข Local Authorities
โข Lead Local Flood Authorities (LLFAs)
โข Environment Agency
โข Supporting planning applications and responding to technical queries
โข Software
โข InfoDrainage / MicroDrainage
โข Causeway Flow (desirable)
โข AutoCAD / Civil 3D (beneficial)
Requirements:
โข Strong experience delivering FRA & drainage strategy reports
โข Good understanding of UK planning and flood risk policy
โข Experience working on residential / commercial developments
โข Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
โข UK project experience essential
