Weldone is seeking a Procurement Officer to support our production and operations team. This role involves managing the sourcing and supply of materials required for fabrication and engineering projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials are available on time, cost‑effective, and aligned with project requirements.
* Source materials, components, and services required for projects
* Manage and maintain relationships with suppliers
* Request and compare quotations to ensure best value
* Place and track orders to meet production schedules
* Coordinate deliveries with the workshop and site teams
* Monitor stock levels and reorder where required
* Ensure materials meet required specifications and quality standards
* Support production planning with accurate procurement timelines
Requirements
* Experience in procurement, purchasing, or a similar role
* Strong organisational and communication skills
* Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities
* Confident working with suppliers and negotiating where required
* Experience in engineering, fabrication, or construction industries is beneficial
