Overview
As Food and Beverage Supervisor you will oversee food and beverage operations, partnering with the Food and Beverage Manager to recruit and manage staff, ensure high levels of customer service, develop menus, maintain inventory and budgets, and enforce health and safety regulations. The role requires exceptional communication and organisational skills, and a strong knowledge of food and beverage standards and best practices. Based in the Mercure Gloucester Bowden Hall Hotel, located on the outskirts of Gloucester in the Cotswolds.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high‑quality food and beverage service and supervise a large portion of hotel operations.
* Partner with the Food and Beverage Manager to recruit, train and manage staff.
* Ensure exceptional guest service and uphold brand standards.
* Develop menus in collaboration with culinary teams and manage related cost controls.
* Maintain inventory and manage budgets for the food and beverage function.
* Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant standards.
* Monitor industry trends, analyse sales and financial reports, and identify opportunities for growth.
* Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote the hotel's food and beverage offerings.

* Prior experience delivering first-class service in a food and beverage environment.
* A deep understanding of food and beverage industry standards and best practices.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead and inspire a team.
