Job Title: Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Mentor
Area: Rochdale, Greater Manchester
Start Date: ASAP – September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience and responsibilities
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm

We are working with a warm, inclusive specialist school in Rochdale seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Mentor. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in helping children with SEND, SEMH, and complex needs grow in confidence, independence, and learning.
🧩 About the Role:
1. Provide expert 1:1 and small group support to pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
2. Deliver tailored interventions and support plans to help pupils overcome barriers to learning
3. Mentor and guide pupils, promoting resilience, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour
4. Work closely with teachers to co-plan lessons, track progress, and contribute to pupil development
5. Support the wider school team in creating a nurturing, inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
6. Proven experience supporting children with SEND, SEMH, or complex needs
7. A Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)
8. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues
9. A compassionate, calm, and proactive approach to behaviour and learning support
10. Strong understanding of Autism, SEMH, and SEND strategies
To Be Eligible You Must:
11. Hold the Right to Work in the UK
12. Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the update service (or be willing to apply)
13. Provide two professional child-related references
