Overview
The role involves delivering an efficient reception service across Council offices located in Stockton, including the new office at Dunedin House. This is a front-facing role with responsibilities such as greeting and assisting visitors in a warm and professional manner, answering and directing phone calls, handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries, managing meeting room bookings, and providing general administrative support. You will also provide support across other Council reception sites as needed and join a welcoming, supportive team. Office operating hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm. This is a part-time role (up to 30 hours per week) with availability discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
* Greet and assist visitors in a professional and friendly manner
* Answer, screen and direct telephone calls
* Handle incoming and outgoing post and deliveries
* Manage and coordinate meeting room bookings
* Provide general administrative support
* Support operations across other Council reception sites as needed
Qualifications
* Excellent communication skills
* Professional, welcoming and positive attitude
* Ability to multi-task
* Strong organisation and attention to detail
* Good IT skills, experience with Word, Excel and Outlook
* English & Maths Level 2 (e.g. GCSE Grade C/4 or above or Functional Skills)
