HR Business Partner
Join Discovery Educational Trust as an HR Business Partner supporting our secondary schools in Brentwood and Southend, and sharing best practice with our three primary schools in Brentwood.
We are looking for a motivated self‑starter with a strong interest in learning the unique nuances of HR practice in education. This full‑time, year‑round role will support the employee life cycle and collaborate closely with school leadership and the central HR team.
Responsibilities
* Manage the full employee life cycle across multiple schools.
* Support people managers with employee relations, performance management, and absence management cases, handling a varied caseload and competing priorities.
* Share best practice and initiatives between secondary and primary schools.
* Collaborate with the central HR team and school leadership teams to deliver efficient, high‑quality HR support.
* Work from the central offices at St Martin's School, Brentwood, with split‑site responsibilities at Chase High School, Southend.
Qualifications
* HR experience in education not essential, but a strong interest in the sector is required.
* Self‑starter with excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and a varied caseload.
* Flexibility to work remotely where appropriate, while maintaining a full‑time presence.
Location & Hours
Based at St Martin's School, Brentwood; split site responsibilities at Chase High School, Southend. The role is full‑time, year‑round.
