We have a fantastic opportunity for an Event Coordinator to join our Operations team at our Iconic Cheltenham Racecourse, helping in the planning, organisation, and delivery of all racedays and events across the site.

Responsibilities
* Deliver the pre‑planning and execution of events at the Racecourse cross‑functionally, managing budgets and exceeding customer expectations.
* Ensure the running of events is safe and efficient and the site is presented to the best possible standard by acting as duty manager, completing comprehensive event checks.
* Communicate effectively with all event organisers, providing technical and logistical information about the venue and advice on layout plans, including site and event booking.
* Support the preparation of all facilities for events including set‑up of AV equipment, power leads and movement of furniture appropriate for the event, returning to excellent condition post‑event.
* Support in creating purchase orders, checking and certifying invoices and controlling expenditure, whilst seeking to improve operational profitability.
* Use the event management system to provide comprehensive detailed function sheets and specific event requirements, sharing with key stakeholders.
* Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless customer experience for events from hand‑over of booking to delivery, ensuring the customer’s requirements are paramount and utilising upselling opportunities to increase profitability.
* Support the delivery of security and stewarding schedules and the Operations team in the preparation and running of racedays.
About you
* Excellent communicator comfortable interacting and influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
* Collaborative, hands‑on approach, thrives as part of a high performing team.
* Good eye for detail and a desire to resolve issues raised by customers and line management.
* Proactive, logical thinker who spots errors and resolves issues.
* Adaptable, able to work on own initiative and prioritise work schedules.
* Proven experience in a fast‑paced, pressurised environment – events experience advantageous.
* Willing to work weekends and evenings.
