Band 3 Rheumatology DAWN Patient Surveillance Assistant Administrator
Part‑time position: 18.75 hours per week
Location: Reading – served by road and rail links to London, Oxford and Southampton.
Key Responsibilities
* The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to rheumatology patients’ blood surveillance pathway.
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the monitoring of patients on a surveillance pathway is managed smoothly.
* Work closely with rheumatology CNSs and consultants to support robust surveillance of patient monitoring and act according to specialty instructions and SOPs.
* Collaborate with the DAWN/Biologic multispecialty surveillance administrator for integrated medicine and with the rheumatology clinical administration team (CAT 9) to ensure appropriate cross‑cover.
* Ensure high levels of patient and clinician satisfaction by being an accessible, customer‑focused and knowledgeable point of contact.
* Provide a consistent approach across the Trust, ensuring the functions of the role are carried out correctly within given timescales as per SOPs.
* Demonstrate polite, clear, accurate advice line support for patients and document all communication on EPR and DAWN, exercising self‑guided initiative.
* Work autonomously while seeking help from clinicians when appropriate.
