About the role
As an Assistant Manager at Boots Opticians you will lead and inspire your team to deliver an exemplary customer journey. You will work closely with the Store Manager to create and deliver the commercial plan to help the business grow and change for the better. You will be involved in everything from customer service and store operations to clinical activities including patient pre-screening, dispensing, accuracy checks, and more. You will manage a team with a variety of experience and clinical knowledge, helping them develop their knowledge, skills and future careers. This also includes completing management tasks such as creating and maintaining rotas, return to work reviews and performance management. We will support you through our Step into Optics training programme and leadership training to help you develop your clinical knowledge and career at Boots Opticians.
Responsibilities
* Support and lead a team to deliver excellent customer service and a positive customer journey.
* Contribute to the store’s commercial plan and drive growth and improvements.
* Engage in store operations, clinical activities, and patient-facing services.
* Oversee rotas, return to work reviews and performance management for team members.
* Develop team knowledge and skills, guiding career development.
* Participate in training programmes to enhance clinical knowledge and leadership capabilities.
What you’ll need to have
* Experience working in a customer-facing role
* Desire to learn
* Led or coached a team
