Role Overview
In this role, you’ll play a key part in delivering engaging material/moduls on Game Development. You’ll also supervise final year projects, guiding students through real-world challenges and cutting-edge research. You should be able to demonstrate a commitment to high quality learning and teaching across all levels of Higher Education within the UK and internationally. Whether you're an experienced academic or just beginning your journey in higher education, we’re here to support you. We offer pathways to gain an accredited UK teaching qualification and provide access to world-class research groups, facilities, and equipment within our School and University.
Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging material for Game Development modules.
* Supervise final year projects.
* Offer pastoral support and guidance to students.
* Contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in computer science and related areas.
Qualifications
* A good degree in game development (or a closely related discipline).
* Up-to-date, sound knowledge of the subject including current professional/vocational developments and generic skills. Specifically, broad knowledge and understanding of general‑purpose game development with in‑depth experience of:
o C++ game development
o Multiplayer game development
o Unity 6 and/or Unreal Engine 5
* The ability to contribute to the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
* Experience of, or potential to develop, quality research, consultancy or knowledge exchange activity relevant to the needs of the School.
* Relevant industrial or professional experience and membership of, or working towards, relevant professional bodies.
Employment Details
