We are seeking a flexible, patient and caring SEN Nanny to support Sarah and her brother, Christopher. Sarah is 10 and Christopher is 9. They live at home with their parents and all of the family love football! Sarah also enjoys swimming and playing on her I-pad.

This role is primarily focused on Sarah, who is managed by ILS Case Management, with additional support being provided to Christopher, under the direction of his parents.

Your role will be to support both children with school, home and personal activities as follows:

Sarah
Sarah has Cerebral Palsy with right side hemiplegia, Epilepsy and cognitive difficulties. Your role would be to support, encourage and assist with all daily activities and personal care. To chaperone and assist in a range of recreational, therapeutic and academic activities. Preparing and cooking meals/snacks and encouraging Sarah to help. Closely monitoring due to a recent diagnosis of Epilepsy and episodes are not always easy detectable. Support Sarah’s personal development by encouraging her confidence, independence, and enjoyment of life, helping her grow and thrive in a fun, empowering environment. Working with her multi-disciplinary care team and implement therapy programmes. Completing care notes at the end of each shift and forwarding to the Case Manager.

Christopher
Christopher has ADHD, Autism and Tourette's syndrome and can be quite a complex neurodiverse young man. You will be taking guidance and direction from the parents and feeding back at the end of the day.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to join the family and develop existing skills and support these very special young children. A truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively and an ability to work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion.

Pay and Benefits:
£17 per hour, Monday to Friday, £18.50 per hour, Weekends and Bank Holidays
5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata
Pension (subject to qualifying status)
