Brief Description
We are recruiting for a Senior Communications Manager to join us in GBRX.
About The Role (External)
This is an exciting opportunity to develop consistent and effective communications strategies in a pioneering and groundbreaking part of the rail industry. You’ll be tasked with driving and implementing Comms Plans that present opportunities for GBRX to ensure our wide-range of stakeholders are engaged. You will have the opportunity to work in reactive and ambiguous media environments with a focus on business to business communications. Establishing a positive network of internal and external stakeholders to influence senior managers and industry partners will be essential.
What We Need From You
* Educated to degree level or a professional communications qualification (e.g. IoIC, CIPR, PRCA) or demonstrable equivalent experience
* Substantial experience in corporate communications
* High standards of written and spoken communication
* The experience and personal credibility to work effectively with senior managers
* Strong influencing skills
* Proven ability to grasp, understand and promote complex and sensitive issues in a persuasive and sensible way
* Ability to develop and maintain a wide network of stakeholder contacts
* Evidence of good planning and financial skills, with the ability to deliver projects and activities on time and within budget

This role is based in York George Stephenson House, but will also require weekly travel to London. This role requires working in an office 4 days a week.
