Are you a skilled technician with a passion for electrical installation and supporting learners in a hands-on environment? We’re looking for a proactive and organisedWorkshop Technicianto join our Engineering team and play a vital role in supporting curriculum delivery and maintaining a safe, well-equipped learning space.
About the Role
As a Workshop Technician, you’ll be responsible for preparing and maintaining electrical installation resources, supporting practical sessions, and ensuring the workshop is safe, clean, and fully operational. You’ll work closely with teaching staff and learners to help create an engaging and effective learning environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A relevant vocational or health and safety qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
* Minimum Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English
* Strong subject knowledge and practical experience in electrical installation
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* A commitment to health and safety and safeguarding practices
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and issue electrical installation resources for teaching sessions
* Maintain workshop equipment and ensure the environment is clean and safe
* Order, receive, and manage stock and supplies
* Support learners during practical sessions and demonstrate techniques where appropriate
* Carry out routine and planned maintenance, safety inspections, and report defects
