LoopNet, the leading online marketplace for commercial real estate, connects brokers, buyers and sellers. We are expanding in the US and abroad and seek a proactive Account Manager to drive subscriptions and online advertising products with a consultative approach.
Role Description
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for selling subscriptions and other online advertising products. Your client base ranges from small independent agents to large, sophisticated customers including global property owners and fund managers, global brokerage businesses, hedge funds, private equity firms, REITs, and family offices. You will focus primarily on new business, while also growing revenue from existing accounts. You will inherit a territory with a limited number of existing clients from day one.
Responsibilities
* Own the full sales cycle including prospecting, demonstrating, closing, onboarding, training and renewing accounts.
* Conduct high-level in-person client and prospect product demonstrations.
* Provide insights to participants in the commercial property market (Surveyors, Owners, Investors, Lenders, Local Authorities, Service Providers).
* Represent CoStar Group by hosting and attending industry events and networking with property professionals in your market.
* Gain a thorough understanding of clients and their needs through a consultative sales approach; become an expert in LoopNet marketing solutions.
* Take an entrepreneurial approach to selling, training and retaining clients.
Qualifications
* Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow clients over the medium and long term with sales cycles that can run 3–12+ months.
* Outstanding communication, presentation and objection handling skills with the confidence to explain complex proposals.
* Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work to metrics in an intelligent, effective manner.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent experience; consultative selling style with account management techniques to grow accounts over time.
* Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
* Knowledge of commercial real estate or asset management is advantageous; property portal or marketplace experience is also advantageous.
* Ability to navigate a large organization to identify decision-makers, influencers, and blockers, and align them.
* Full driving license and willingness to travel; ability to travel to the United States for training (around 3 weeks).
* Candidates must possess a current and valid driver’s license and pass a Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start.
