The basics:
* Job title: Sheet Metal Worker
* Location: Ilkeston
* Industry: Precision engineering
* Pay: £31,140 + £4,434 shift premium = £38,574 rising to after 3 months probation £36,247 + £4,434 shift premium = £40,681
* Overtime: paid at 1.5x Mon-Sat and Double on Sundays
* Hours: 36.5 hours weekly, Monday 15:00 - 01:00, Tuesday to Thursday 15:00 - 00:30
* Holidays and Benefits: Death in Service Benefit - 2x annual salary, Pension 5% employee + 3% employer, Holidays: 5.6 weeks including bank holidays, increasing to 6.6 weeks after 1 year of service
Key responsibilities of the Sheet Metal Worker:
* Bending, cutting, pressing, riveting, marking out, measuring, assembly, deburring, stretching, and inspecting all to tight tolerances
* Working to drawings, sketches, and verbal instructions
* Setting and operating machinery for the manufacture of sheet metal components
The ideal candidate / desirable qualifications:
* Time Served Apprenticeship
* Experience working with thin gauge sheet metal (desirable but not essential)
