About the role Job type: Permanent Salary: Competitive Working Pattern & Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours per week Location: Hybrid/Flexible (Office located: Lancashire, WN8) ​ We are looking for a commercially minded and data-driven Operations Analyst to join our FP&A team. This role sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and data, acting as a key business partner to operations and the senior leadership team. You will provide insight into the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our warehouse and delivery operations. Your analysis will directly inform operational planning, resource allocation, and commercial decision-making, ensuring that operational performance drives sustainable profitability. This is a high-impact role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is naturally curious, and takes ownership from day one. This role is critical in ensuring that our operations are efficient, scalable, and financially sound. Your insights will directly shape operational strategy, resource planning, and profitability. c ​ Key Responsibilities As the Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for the following key areas: ​ ​ Operations & Commercial Performance Analyse operational performance metrics, including: • Cost to serve by channel, customer, or order type • Unit economics of delivery and fulfilment • Time from order to dispatch and delivery performance • Resource utilisation in warehouses and distribution networks • Support operational budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning • Evaluate the financial impact of operational decisions, ensuring alignment with overall business profitability. Warehouse & Delivery Analytics • Develop and maintain dashboards to track key operational KPIs • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities to reduce costs or improve service • Analyse fulfilment, picking, packing, and delivery workflows for optimisation • Support process improvement initiatives with data-driven recommendations. Business Partnering & Insight • Act as a key partner to the Operations Director and Senior Leadership Team, translating complex operational data into actionable insights • Provide reports and analysis to support decision-making at a senior level • Proactively identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability. Data & Reporting • Build dashboards and visualisations to communicate insights clearly • Develop scalable reporting solutions and ensure data integrity across operational metrics • Work cross-functionally with IT, logistics, and finance teams to integrate systems and improve data visibility. ​ About You You have strong experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or operations analytics, ideally within a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment. You’re highly proficient in data tools and visualisation platforms, with a solid understanding of warehouse operations, delivery metrics, and unit economics. You combine strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights, working confidently across teams and influencing senior stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience To be successful for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience: • Strong experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or operations analytics, ideally within warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environments • Advanced proficiency in data tools (e.g. SQL, Python, Snowflake, Business Central) and data visualisation platforms (e.g. Power BI, Omni, Tableau or Quick Sight) • Solid understanding of warehouse operations, delivery metrics, and unit economics • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to link operational insights to P&L impact • Experience working with large datasets and building scalable reporting solutions • Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple, compelling way • Highly proactive, self-starter mindset with strong ownership and accountability • Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing senior stakeholders. Desirable • Experience in high-growth eCommerce or logistics businesses • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma) • Understanding of warehouse management systems.
