We are currently recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover the North (UK). Our client is a market leader in tailor-made industrial enclosures for a variety of applications (chemical, petrochemical, process, mining etc.) including in explosion-endangered zones.
This is a great opportunity to join a small but well established team in the UK as part of an international company with the division's headquarters based in Germany.
Your role and responsibilities:
* Developing new accounts and following up with leads to create new sales opportunities using emails, calls, and face-to-face visits (in the field around 3 days per week)
* Account manager and trusted advisor to a number of UK accounts
* Building relationships with existing customers through regular communication and visits
* Communicating with customers to understand their needs and requirements
* Answering customers' enquiries and questions and providing additional information
* Responding to RFQs
* Preparing quotations (Inside Sales Team will create the quote)
* Updating and maintaining the CRM system (MS Dynamics)
* Regular communication and visits to the HQ in Germany
* Keeping up to date with product information through regular product training
* Supporting exhibitions
Your profile:
* Technical background and understanding - preferably degree educated (BEng/MEng/Engineering/Business) or equivalent experience
* Previous sales experience and a motivation for sales
* Sharp communication skills
* Relationship building skills with a strong customer focus
* Any previous experience with industrial enclosures or products used in hazardous environments (ATEX) would be advantageous
* Living in the North of the UK (upwards of Midlands, including Scotland)
