ABOUT THE ROLE
We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our dynamic Sports team at our FE College in Uxbridge. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position starting in January 2026, supporting the delivery of our comprehensive range of Sport programmes.
Our Sports department delivers vocational BTEC qualifications from Level 1 through to Level 3, providing students with practical skills and knowledge to progress in their sporting careers. You will play a vital role in inspiring and developing the next generation of sports professionals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Sport Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across our BTEC Sport programmes. You will engage with young learners aged 16-19, creating an inspiring and supportive learning environment that encourages personal and academic growth. Your role will include planning and delivering lessons, assessing student work, and contributing to curriculum development.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
 1. Degree in Sport or related subject area
 2. Experience teaching vocational Sport qualifications, including BTEC
 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 4. Ability to engage and motivate young vocational learners aged 16-19
 5. Commitment to inclusive and student-centred teaching practices
DESIRABLE
 6. Level 5 teaching qualification (or working towards)
 7. Knowledge of current developments in vocational Sport education
 8. Experience with assessment and quality assurance processes
