Position
Band 4 Assistant Practitioner in the inpatient therapy team at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust (UHMBT).
Key Responsibilities
* Work alongside Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy colleagues to assess and deliver therapeutic interventions, maximising functional ability.
* Cover an appropriate caseload across a variety of clinical areas, including elements of community working.
* Receive formal supervision and annual appraisal to support development; participate in in‑service training and relevant training opportunities.
* Provide peer support from existing band 4 staff within the multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapy, stroke and supported discharge teams.
* Contribute to projects focused on length of stay, patient flow and multidisciplinary team working; support these initiatives as they move towards a 7‑day service, including weekend working.
* Lead the technical instructor team, demonstrating leadership qualities and organisational efficiency.
Qualifications and Experience
* Complete an Assistant Practitioner (AP) qualification or an equivalent health‑care related degree.
* Show experience within an acute or rehabilitation health‑care setting.
* Demonstrate efficiency, organisational skills and a drive to learn.
* Possess leadership qualities to support the technical instructor team.
Location
Primarily based at the Royal Lancaster Infirmary within the inpatient team.
