The Northern Lighthouse Board, in partnership with Forth Valley College, is offering engineering apprenticeships to passionate and aspiring engineers.
About Us
The Northern Lighthouse Board is the General Lighthouse Authority for Scotland and the Isle of Man, responsible for the supervision and management of all lighthouses, buoys, and beacons within these waters. We have been providing this vital safety service to mariners since 1786.
The Role - Overview
As an apprentice, you will learn to fault-find, read technical drawings, and develop trade skills related to electrical engineering. The role involves working on a wide range of electrical and electronic equipment. You will undertake a comprehensive training program with Forth Valley College, supported by a mentor who will guide and advise you throughout the program.
Entry Requirements
You should have 4 National 5s, including Maths, English, and Physics. Higher qualifications in these subjects are desirable but not essential.
Salary and Benefits
* Annual salary of £18,036, reviewed annually
* Civil Service Pension with an average employer contribution of 28%
* Annual leave of 25 days, increasing by 1 day per year of service up to 30 days
* 11.5 days for Public Holidays
