Job Description:
Chemonics UK is inviting applications from climate finance professionals and advisors interested in working with us to deliver the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)’s Corporate Climate Governance (CCG) Facility programme.
This position will be based in London, UK, and across EBRD countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa.
We are looking for individuals with significant experience in climate transition planning and a passion for sustainability practices and disclosures.
The programme aims to enhance capacity to recognize climate and sustainability-related impacts, risks, and opportunities in line with international frameworks and standards, as well as applicable regulations.
We seek portfolio climate finance professionals, including:
* Financial and Technical Experts and Analysts
* Legal/Regulatory Experts
* Communication and Marketing Experts
You will be part of a core team of experienced professionals with 7-10 years of relevant experience in sustainability and climate finance.
Note: This role is for an anticipated proposal and is contingent upon contract award to Chemonics UK.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Senior Advisory Experts:
* Support financial institutions on sustainability and climate matters, including transition planning, climate strategy, risk management, metrics, and targets.
* Knowledge of TCFD, ISSB, European and global disclosure practices, EBRD Paris alignment, GFANZ, and IIGCC.
* Experience training and advising financial institutions across the EBRD region.
Financial Technical Experts & Analysts:
* Provide advisory, technical, and analytical support for capacity building and knowledge management activities.
* Experience working with financial institutions in EBRD regions.
Legal/Regulatory Experts:
* At least 7 years of experience with a good understanding of climate policy, frameworks, standards, and regulations.
Communication & Marketing Experts:
* Experience in climate or sustainability communication and marketing, digital communication, and website management.
* Knowledge management experience with at least 7 years in establishing effective systems.
Duration: Part-time, from 2026 to 2027 (subject to confirmation).
Location: London/Remote
