Consents & Environment Manager - Major Infrastructure Projects
📍 Location: Scotland (Hybrid Working)
📅 Start Date: ASAP
⏳ Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
💰 Rate: £85-£100 per hour (Inside IR35 via PAYE Umbrella)
🕒 Working Week: 37 hours
✅ Clearance: BPSS + Medical Questionnaire + Proof of Right to Work in the UK
🏗 Site Presence: Approx. 50% (North of Scotland)
About the Role
We're looking for a Consents & Environment Manager to join a high-profile infrastructure programme in Scotland. This is a delivery-focused role where you'll take ownership of environmental compliance and consents management to keep critical projects on track.
Key Responsibilities
Lead on consents discharge, environmental licensing, and preparation of contract specifications.
Ensure compliance with statutory and internal environmental obligations.
Manage multiple consultancy contracts for EnvCoW support and post-planning surveys.
Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, statutory bodies, and contractors.
Conduct inspections and audits to ensure environmental and planning consent compliance.
Drive sustainability and regulatory excellence across project teams.
What We're Looking For
Proven project management experience in major infrastructure projects.
Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
Degree in Environmental discipline (postgraduate preferred) and membership of a relevant professional body desirable.
Experience in environmental consultancy or consenting for large-scale projects.
