Job Description:

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Paralegal to join a well-established law firm within their Land Acquisition team on a fixed-term contract of up to 12 months. This role will involve working alongside the Senior Associate to provide comprehensive support on land and affordable housing conveyancing matters. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to gain hands-on experience in a thriving legal environment with exposure to high-quality property work.
Responsibilities include:
* Managing the day-to-day conduct of Land Acquisition and related work files under the supervision of senior solicitors.
* Opening new files, collating title, planning, and development information, and liaising with clients and third parties.
* Handling document management, including photocopying of large plans, managing telephone calls, emails, and faxes as required.
* Updating databases and directories to maintain accurate records.
* Audio typing of attendance notes, standard letters, contracts, and legal documents.
* Drafting deeds and documents, arranging execution either by hard copy or electronically.
* Assisting with responses to enquiries and liaising with clients, solicitors, and other relevant parties.
* Checking legal documents for quality, consistency, and content.
* Preparing SDLT forms for submission to HMRC, and forms for HM Land Registry.
* Handling Land Registry requisitions, reviewing applications, and preparing completion statements.
* Assisting with file closures, archiving, and conducting legal research as needed.
What we need from you:
* Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal within a property-focused role.
* Knowledge of Land Law is desirable.
* Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage a busy caseload.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and colleagues.
* Proficiency in ICT and case management systems.
