Are you an experienced Material Planning professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a Material Planning Analyst to join a world-class manufacturing facility in Peterlee, supporting global production operations through proactive supplier collaboration and effective material management.
The Role
As a Material Planning Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials to meet production schedules. Working closely with suppliers, production teams, and operations, you’ll help maintain optimal inventory levels, resolve supply issues, and drive improvements in material availability and supply chain performance.
Key Responsibilities
* Use MRP and supplier collaboration tools to plan and schedule material deliveries.
* Ensure timely delivery of materials to support production requirements.
* Collaborate with suppliers to coordinate shipping schedules and resolve any delivery issues.
* Monitor and track supplier performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
* Drive enhancements in point-of-use material availability and inventory accuracy.
* Communicate effectively across internal teams and external partners to maintain supply chain efficiency.
About You
You’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering results that keep production running smoothly.
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Strong background in material planning and scheduling.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
* Familiar with MRP systems and planning concepts.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and computer-based planning tools.
* Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to meet tight deadlines.
Desirable:
* APICS or other Supply Chain qualifications.
* Degree (or equivalent) in Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
* Knowledge of Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies.
