Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within the Boeing Vertical Lift Supply Chain team for an Inventory Modelling Specialist on the UK AH-64E Apache Long Term Training and Support Service (LTTSS) programme. This role will be responsible to the Apache Material Flow Manager for data analysis supporting inventory ranging, scaling, and forecasting to support the UK AH-64E Apache. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, an agile thinker, and able to solve complex problems in a multi-stakeholder environment.


Responsibilities

1. Utilise the Inventory Modelling Tool to review data and align part number configurations with the Engineering Bill of Material.
2. Manage Stock Maximum levels at pre-assigned locations.
3. Collaborate with Asset Managers to maintain data variables within the Modelling Tool.
4. Identify and communicate demand usage trends across the platform, correlating variables such as region and supplier.
5. Support and analyze material spend and continuous improvement initiatives.
6. Identify potential supply risks by interpreting forecasting data and work with internal departments on solutions.
7. Perform “what if” analysis to assess impacts of contract or environmental changes.
8. Work with large data sets in Excel.
9. Produce quarterly forecast estimates for materials.
10. Maintain metrics to monitor forecast accuracy against the Contracted Bill of Material.
11. Apply Root Cause and Corrective Action techniques to improve inventory performance.
12. Implement Supply Chain Best Practices in all assigned work.


Essential Requirements

1. Previous experience with demand forecasting, ranging, and scaling of a product.
2. Advanced Excel skills (macros, arrays, pivot tables, logic statements).
3. 3+ years of experience in a Supply Chain role.
4. Attention to detail and focus on first-time quality.
5. Problem-solving skills.
6. Experience with tools and systems used for product forecasting.
7. Advanced data analytical skills.
8. Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance.


Additional Skills & Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management (preferred).
2. Strong communication skills.
3. Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
