Role Overview
We are looking for a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) engineer with experience in MES systems, who can bridge the gap between shop‑floor users and 3rd‑party suppliers. The role is based in the UK and involves sharing knowledge with an international team operating across multiple European sites.
Responsibilities
* Monitor MES service performance and drive continuous improvement.
* Support IT solutions by applying specific knowledge of MES tools and systems.
* Maintain and enhance the MES support strategy.
* Provide technical expertise on the MES system, analyse errors, troubleshoot technical issues, and determine when to engage 3rd‑party support.
* Ensure operational stability, optimise workflows, and improve user understanding of the MES system.
* Streamline and optimize supplier and 3rd‑party support teams to minimise downtime.
Qualifications
* Experience with a single MES system and a keen interest in learning DELMIA Apriso MES.
* Deep technical expertise of MES systems and how they interact with Production, Quality, Warehouse and Maintenance.
* Passion for championing MES across Business, Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and other functional areas.
* Strong problem‑solving skills; enjoys tackling bugs, outages, and proactively identifying issues before they require firefighting.
