Contract Type: Permanent Working Hours: Full Time Number of Positions: 1 Qualifications Required: QTS Start Date: 23rd February 2026 Salary: £64,691 - £71,330 per annum We currently have an exciting opportunity for Deputy Headteacher with responsibility for: Safeguarding, one key Ofsted area and one core curriculum area to join our fantastic team at Pear Tree High School. This is a permanent, full time leadership role. This role attracts a salary on the Leadership Scale, points 10-14 with a value of £64,691 - £71,330. We’re looking for: A committed and experienced educational professional to work with the Headteacher, governors, trustees and the wider school community to effectively establish, develop and sustain the school’s ethos and strategic direction. This role requires someone with strong understanding of strategies to effectively deliver the school curriculum and develop effective Teaching, Learning and Assessment practice within a school. This Deputy Headteacher position will include with a small teaching commitment and play a key role in driving forward our School Improvement Plan, particularly with a focus on Post-16 provision and other significant strategic areas. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of improving outcomes for all students, especially those who are disadvantaged, vulnerable students, and those with SEND. Main purpose of the job: To provide excellent leadership and management to embed the vision and values of the Trust and to secure the highest possible outcomes for students across the school. To ensure that the school is a safe, orderly and inclusive environment that engages students effectively and supports their learning To establish and sustain high quality expert teaching across all subject areas within school, drawing on national research and evidence informed understanding of effective teaching and how students learn.
